Family-run builders based in the centre of Nantwich, working across Cheshire, north Shropshire and the Staffordshire border. From single-storey extensions to full house renovations — planning and drawings through to the final coat of paint.
We're a small building firm that Gary Kelly set up in 2022 after fifteen years on other people's sites. The core team has been together since, and we take on everything from single-storey extensions to full house renovations — planning drawings, building regs, and every trade through to final sign-off.
Every job has one of us on it from start to finish. We turn up when we say we will, we clean up after ourselves at the end of each day, and we don't sub out work we aren't qualified to do. If something's outside our wheelhouse, we'll tell you straight — and more often than not, we know someone good who can help.
We quote honestly, we stick to the quote, and we stand behind the work — two years on workmanship as standard, and ten years structural warranty on anything signed off by Building Control.
Single and double-storey extensions, orangeries and garden rooms. Drawings, planning applications, building reg sign-off and the build itself — one point of contact for the lot.
Dormer, hip-to-gable and Velux conversions. Structural work, insulation to current regs, staircases, en-suites, heating — the whole job, not just the shell.
Whole-house renovations, period property work, tired kitchens and bathrooms brought up to standard. Listed and Grade II jobs a speciality.
Supply-and-fit, or fit-only to your own spec. Tiling, plumbing, wet-room tanking, electrics — all coordinated in-house so there's never a day with nobody on site.
Foundations, retaining walls, garden walls, patios and driveways. Proper footings, properly drained, built to last decades rather than seasons.
Roofs, floor structures, stud walls, staircases, doors, skirting and architrave. Gary still does most of the first-fix carpentry himself — it's how he started.
We come out, measure up and talk through what you have in mind. Free, no pressure, no obligation — even if you're still deciding whether to go ahead.
Itemised written quote within a week. Drawings, planning support and building regs arranged where needed. Costs stay fixed unless the scope changes.
Start date confirmed, programme shared. Weekly updates in plain English. Same team on site start to finish — no revolving door of subcontractors.
Snagged, cleaned, signed off. Certificates and guarantees sent through. Courtesy call at six months, another at twelve — nothing is finished 'til it's lived in.
A draughty, derelict loft above an old Cheshire cottage — full of decades-old insulation, exposed joists and a brick chimney running through the apex — taken through to a finished bedroom suite with new skylight, eaves storage and a freshly-plastered staircase down to the existing landing.
A full set of progress photos and floor plans available on request — happy to walk through the rest of recent jobs over a brew.
Gary turned our old garage into a proper home office. He project-managed the whole thing himself — sparky, plumber, plasterer all turning up the days they were meant to — so we never had to chase a soul. Hard grafter, and the attention to detail on the second-fix joinery is the kind of thing you only spot if you go looking.
Two other builders let us down before GG took on our barn conversion. What a difference — honest quote, proper drawings, weekly updates. Three years on and nothing has moved.
We had Gary knock our kitchen and living room into one practical space. He arranged every trade himself, ran the programme, and worked some long days when the steel went in. The finishing — skirting lines, how the floor runs through, the new doorframe — all of it spot on.
